Erwin Miyasaka: The Yabitsu Bridge

This picturesque arched bridge is located in Kagoshima, only a few minutes away from the Chiran samurai district, and it seems to have been built by using the same type of rock as the walls of the city.

Very old and partly eroded, it is a pedestrian bridge allowing the crossing of the Fumoto river. With the river’s crystal clear water and the surrounding meadow, it makes for an idyllic spot to go for an easy stroll.
